WEDDING FAIR | BRIDAL | WEDDING
Wedding fairs are a fantastic way to start your wedding planning ladies! We have already met so many beautiful brides-to-be and their bridal parties when we exhibited at Belle Bridal Magazine’s Wedding Fair at the start of the month.
Whether you’re newly engaged and looking for some inspiration or have already started your planning, they are beneficial for everyone! Wedding fairs also give you a chance to meet with local vendors before you start booking appointments to give you an idea of who will best deliver the wedding that you envision.
In today’s blog post, we will give you our top five tips for getting the most out of your trip, including the essentials to bring with you.
1. Dress Comfortably
No matter how big the venue is, you can guarantee that a trip to a wedding fair will mean a lot of walking. Walking from vendor to vendor is no job for uncomfortable clothing, especially shoes! Make sure that you are wearing something that you know you can walk comfortably in for a good few hours. Your feet will thank you at the end of the day!
2. Do Some Initial Research
This may be an easier job for those who have already started planning their wedding, but it will save a lot of time walking around the venue like a headless chicken if you have somewhat of an idea of what you are looking for. It is worth making a plan about what aspects you want to focus the most on and then you can organise your time by which vendors you will want to see first. If you are wanting to look into wedding dresses or entrees the most, then make it a priority to see these vendors first!
3. Bring A Friend
Everything is always better with a friend or companion, especially wedding fairs! Although an informative and productive way to start planning your wedding, they are also fun. Share this experience with a close family member, friend or even your entire bridal party and make it a memory to last forever. Soak in every moment of this joyous occasion!
4. Charge Up Your Phones!
You are going to want to take a lot of photos to store all of your inspiration as a reminder of what you loved the most, which will definitely come in handy in the later stages of your planning. If your phone’s battery perhaps doesn’t last a full day, then it might be worth bringing a camera as a back-up. With the beautiful backdrops of a wedding fair, they are also a perfect excuse for an endless amount of selfies with your girls, which you can look back on and reminisce at a later date.
5. Bring A Diary or Notebook
A situation may arise where you want to jot down the contact details of a vendor or schedule appointment. To avoid double bookings or forgetting who you have talked to, jot them down somewhere convenient. To save carrying extra weight, you can also take advantage of the notes and calendar apps on your phones. Just as long as you remember to charge up your phone beforehand!
